- Born in Saarbrücken (Germany) in 1968
- Studied Translation Studies at the University of Heidelberg
- Stays abroad in Spain, France, Belgium and the USA
- 1996 - degree in Translation Studies with Spanish and French as foreign languages, specialising in law (EU law)
- 1997 - court-sworn translator for French and Spanish at the Landgericht Saarbrücken
- Two posts as full-time project manager in translation agencies with full responsibility for the branch office: translation; handling of interpreting and translating projects from start to finish; customer liaison and recruitment of free-lance translators; instructing and managing co-translators and interpreters; scheduling, quality assurance, terminology and document management
- Freelance translator since 1999
- Spring 2002 - completion of a specialist course in contract law held at teras rechtsakademie in Saarbrücken. IHK Certificate was awarded upon completion of the course.
- 2006- qualified in the Rhineland-Palatinate as a junior and lower secondary school teacher (Grund- und Hauptschulen) for the subjects of French and Social Studies (Second State Examination)
- from the 2006/2007 academic year teacher in the Saarbrücken-Klarenthal secondary modern school. Continued assignments as freelance translator
